A New Resource, Ready For You to Discover!

We’ve launched Legumes Premium, our all-new AI-powered knowledge graph resource designed to accelerate gene discovery and functional genomics research across major legume crops. Developed in collaboration with NRC Canada (https://nrc.canada.ca/en), our latest paid resource again brings together everything you love about KnetMiner: curated genomic data, literature mining, and biological knowledge graphs to support plant scientists, breeders, and bioinformaticians in your search for new genes, traits, and biomarkers.

Legumes Premium currently includes Arachis hypogaea (peanut), Vicia faba (faba bean), Glycine max (soybean), Phaseolus vulgaris (French bean), Pisum sativum (garden pea), and Arabidopsis thaliana as a model reference. Each genome is fully searchable through our genomic data analysis software, enabling gene network analysis, pathway exploration, and omics data integration via our user-friendly web interface at https://app.knetminer.com.

With Legumes Premium, you can visualise connections between genes, pathways, traits, and publications within a biological knowledge graph, uncovering insights that might otherwise remain hidden in siloed data sources such as Ensembl Plants, UniProt, and PubMed.

Legumes Premium supports real-world research workflows, from GWAS analysis to trait biomarker identification and gene function exploration.Working with companies and research groups on resources like this has a huge influence on how we improve KnetMiner for everyone. Use Case Example

To demonstrate how Legumes Premium can help with practical research, we recently analysed a list of soybean genes associated with oil seed content:

Using KnetMiner, we first performed a gene list search with "optional keywords: “oil seed content”, then created a network using the two top-ranked genes. Next, we added relevant phenotypes, SNPs, and biological processes using the Graph Explorer and connected the nodes via semantic motifs. After relayouting and cleaning up some nodes to simplify the graph, we ran an AI Summary, which generated a quick overview highlighting gene-trait relationships and key biological insights from the 57 publications in the subgraph. This simple workflow illustrates how Legumes Premium can help you quickly move from raw gene lists to actionable insights.
